The title track of the EP, of course! This song and its lyrics are everything that I want to communicate through Enrose. I wanted to explore my artistry without boundaries, without fear, and with a tunnel vision that kept me focused and confident. I don’t always feel this way, but it is the foundation that Enrose lays upon. “Wait, Create” is an anthem about believing in myself. My favorite lyric is “Money don’t buy one second of time” which is a derivative of a quote from Avengers: End Game. The sample during the intro and bridge of the song is from the 1937 film “A Star Is Born.” The 2018 film would also influence another song on this EP, “Feels Like Home.” The sample fit so perfectly both sonically and conceptually, it was like God dropped it in my lap. Esther and her grandmother are contemplating the difference between “dreamers” and “do-ers,” that it’s not enough to just say you want something. You actually have to go out and get it.
